Yes, you can also use Squarespace and build your own site. Yes, they have beautiful templates and are very user-friendly. If you feel you have the skills and time to do it, do it!
If you feel like all of my former clients, that your talents do not lie in website layout, usability, or that you do not have a great understanding of accessibility. Or you simply have no time. If you are too busy or want to actually rest in your time off and think paying someone is worth it, then I am your girl.
I ensure you are up to standards with WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards (think colors and fonts for those visually impaired, alt-text, etc.), and all basic SEO to get you on your way (think meta descriptions, H1s, so on.) After the new site is launched, I am available to you for 2 months to help troubleshoot, make edits, and teach you how to manage your own content.

We start with a 30-minute design meeting, where I get your goals and what you want to accomplish.
I’ll create 2 mock-up designs for you, and we’ll walk through them together to really understand your needs. I’ll provide a template for you to fill in with your text and photos.
After that, we’ll go through 2 rounds of edits to make sure it’s just right.
And, you get 2 months of after-launch support, check-ins, minor fixes, and a walkthrough on how to keep your site updated and looking fresh.
The price is $500 to me ($250 upfront and $250 at completion). Domain costs can range from $14 - $200/year depending on availability. Squarespace hosting costs about $26-45/month (you can pay monthly or slightly cheaper yearly). And that’s all you need to worry about.
3 pages - $1200
